The Create Mailing button in the table Usersis a quick way to create a mailing for Mailingsthe current lead selection. Select chats using checkboxes or the “select all” filter, click Create Mailing, and the mailing creation form opens with the audience already attached.
This is the most convenient route from “found a segment” to “sent a message to the entire selection”.

When to use

Repeat offer for users who made a deposit — Total Deposit > $50 + Last user message > 14 days
Test on 100 leads before a bulk campaign to the entire database
Product update notification for all active VIP leads

Steps — from selection to sending

  1. 1

Open Users and filter the segment

Via User filtering — 11 parameters.
  2. 2

    Select chats

Use row checkboxes, or the main checkbox in the header to select all chats visible on the page. If the selection spans more than one page, pay attention to which selection mode is used (see ❓ below).
  3. 3

    Click Create Mailing

The button appears when at least one chat is selected.
  4. 4

    Fill out the mailing form

The same interface opens as in “How to create and configure a mailing” How to create and set up a broadcast— Mailing Name, messages, and optional settings.
  5. 5

    Review and Start

Before launch, check the audience, messages, and delays. After Start, the mailing runs according to the settings.

What you can configure

A full breakdown of the mailing form is in How to create and set up a broadcast. Brief list:
Mailing Name — the internal name of the mailing.
Messages— 1–2 items, any formats (text / media / document / video note / voice / audio).
Uniquify with AI— несколько вариантов одного сообщения через AI (антиспам Telegram).
Sending Options— Delay Between Messages.
Schedule Sending— delayed start for a specific date/time.
Review— final check before launch.
The route through Users + Filter + Create Mailing is the most predictable scenario. First, explicit segmentation (you see the selection in the table and can make sure the right leads are included), then launch. Unlike Create new in Mailings, where the audience is configured “blindly” in the mailing form.

Use cases

Warming up VIPs without a deposit

Tag has "VIP"
AND Total Deposit = 0
AND Created At after 14 days ago
You get 80 leads →Create Mailing→ text with an exclusive offer + 50% promo code → Schedule Sending for tomorrow at 11:00 →Start.

Repeat offer for FD leads

Event "FD" exists
AND Last user message after 21 days ago
AND Status is not "Finished"
Получает 200 лидов →Uniquify with AIна 5 вариантов сообщения → каждый получит чуть разный текст (антиспам Telegram) → Delay Between Messages:60 sec(рассылка займёт ~3.5 часа) →Start.

Test before a mass campaign

Tag has "test_audience"
Manually marked as “available for testing”. You get 100 leads →Create Mailing→ new promo text →Start.
After an hour, check the Managing BroadcastsAnswer column — what percentage replied. If the result is good, repeat on the full database with the already tested text.

What to keep in mind

PEER_FLOOD — Telegram anti-spam.
When launching a mailing to 1000+ leads, be sure tocheck Delay Between Messages. Sending too quickly leads to the bot being blocked by Telegram (rpc error code 400: PEER_FLOOD).
Minimum safe interval: 30–60 seconds between messages.
For large audiences, you can set an even longer interval — it’s better to spend a day sending than to get blocked.
Learn more — How Mass Broadcasts Workand Telegram Errors.
Save the segment as My Filter before launching.
After Create Mailing, the audience is “fixed” in the mailing itself. But if you need to launch the same mailing to the same segment a week later, you’ll have to rebuild the conditions manually. Saving it in User filtering — 11 parametersbefore Create Mailing saves time in the future.
Uniquify with AI — protection against anti-spam.
Telegram blocks bots that send identical messages to a large number of users. If the mailing is important, enable Uniquify with AI for 3–5 variants: each lead will receive slightly different text with the same meaning. This reduces the risk of PEER_FLOOD and blocking.

FAQ

Can I cancel a mailing after Start? Yes, via Mailings. You can pause it or stop it completely.
Is the segment saved for reuse? The audience is fixed in the mailing itself (visible in Managing Broadcasts). But the filter conditions are not saved automatically — to launch it again in a week for the same segment, either save My Filter in advance or rebuild the conditions manually.
What is the maximum audience size?.
What is included in the audience — everyone on the page or the entire segment?
Option A: the main checkbox selects only the users visible on the current page.
Option B: the main checkbox selects the entire filtered segment across all pages.
If it’s Option A, then for a large segment you need to select users page by page, or there is a separate “select the entire segment” option].
Where can I see launched mailings? In Mailings— a list of all launched, active, completed, and paused mailings. With analytics (Sent / Delivered / Read / Answer).

How mass mailings work

Mailingssend the selected message to each lead in the audience sequentially with the specified delay. This is not “to everyone at once in one second”; it’s “one by one, with a pause between them”.
Understanding this mechanism is the main protection against Telegram anti-spam blocks. If you set the Delay too short hoping to “send quickly,” Telegram anti-spam blocks not only the broadcast, but the entire bot. Recovery takes hours or days.

How sequential sending works

If the Delay Between Messages = 60 seconds:
Lead #1 will receive the message at Start
Lead #2 — after 60 seconds
Lead #3 — after 120 seconds
...
Lead #1000 — after 999 × 60 seconds = 16.6 hours
This is a sequence, not parallel sending. For speed, decrease the Delay (but you risk anti-spam blocks). For safety, increase it.

Telegram limits — the main risk

PEER_FLOOD — Telegram anti-spam.
Triggered when a bot or personal account sends too many messages in a short period of time. Consequences:
The bot cannot send messages to some leads or anyone at all, depending on the severity of the violation.
Recovery takes from hours to days.
It affects not only the broadcast — regular messages from the bot to other leads may also fail to arrive.
Details about the error and recovery — Telegram Errors.

—
Figures are empirical, not absolute.
Depends on:
Account age— new accounts get caught by anti-spam more often.
Bot type— Personal/Business are less resilient than Standard.
Time of day— sending at night for an hour → a higher chance of getting blocked.
Violation history— if you’ve already hit PEER_FLOOD, the limits are stricter.

Uniquify with AI — anti-spam through variety

If all 1,000 leads receive the exact same text word for word— Telegram will notice the pattern and classify the campaign as spam faster. Uniquify with AI solves this: AI generates N versions of the same message with the same meaning but different wording. Leads receive different texts, and anti-spam triggers less often.
How to use:
Specify a prompt — the essence of the offer.
Specify Answers Count— how many variants to generate.
AI creates variants, Chatterfy distributes them randomly across the audience.
Uniquify with AI — mandatory protection when sending to 1,000+ leads.
The same text at high volume = a high risk of being blocked. For setup details, see How to create and set up a broadcast.

Schedule Sending — delayed start

An alternative to “send now.” You can set the date and time when the campaign starts.
Useful when:
You need to launch the campaign on Monday morning but set it up now (on Friday evening).
The campaign is tied to an event — product launch, holiday, webinar time.
The audience’s time zone is different — it’s better to send at 11:00 their time, not yours.
The time is set in the bot’s time zone, not your local one.
If the bot is configured for UTC and you are in Moscow, when you choose “10:00” the broadcast will be sent at 13:00 MSK. Before Schedule Sending, check the bot’s time zone in General — basic bot settings.
This is a typical trap: an operator schedules a broadcast “for Monday morning,” but leads receive it at night or in the evening in different regions.

When to use broadcasts

Re-engaging your database — “forgot about us? we have news”
Notification about a technical update to the product
Segmented broadcast — VIP / dormant / FB traffic
Promo campaign with a time-limited offer
Win-back for drop-offs after 14–30 days with a reminder

What to consider

Anti-spam is the main threat.
If the broadcast gets blocked by Telegram, not only the broadcast but the entire bot will be affected. This means:
Notifications to other leads may not be delivered either.
AI Reply may not work for regular messages.
Recovery takes from a couple of hours to a couple of days.
It is better to spend time on a safe Delay than to get the bot blocked for a day at an active stage of the campaign.
Pause works instantly, but messages already sent cannot be recalled.
If you launched a broadcast and realized something is wrong — Pause stops further sending. But:
Already sent messages remain with the leads — Telegram does not allow recalling them.
If only 50 out of 1,000 scheduled messages were sent, the remaining 950 recipients will not get it, provided Pause is applied quickly.
That is, Pause = “cancel the future,” not “roll back the past.” Before Start, always check the text and audience via Review.

Frequently asked questions

What Delay Between Messages is safe? It depends on the audience size and context (see the table above). A universally safe value is 30 seconds between messages. For 5,000+ leads, use 120+ seconds or split it into several mailings.
What if PEER_FLOOD was triggered? Do nothing — no new mailings until recovery. Wait from several hours to several days. For a detailed recovery guide, see Telegram Errors. Do not try to “trick” the anti-spam system by changing the delay — Telegram remembers violator patterns.
What is the maximum text length?
Telegram limit: 4096 characters.
Chatterfy limit: 3000 characters.
If the message is longer, you will get an error. Use 2-message in one mailing or shorten the text.
What are the most common errors?
PEER_FLOOD — sending too fast (see above).
caption is too long — the text in the media caption is > 1024 characters.
Leads in Status = Blocked — the bot cannot message them (see Chat Status — conversation statuses).).
Leads with Stopped status can be included in a mailing, but messages to such users are usually not delivered. Most often, this status means that the user has blocked the bot in Telegram.
Learn more — Telegram Errors.
Does Mailing affect lead Status? No. Sending a Mailing does not change users’ Status.
Can you send different messages to different segments in one mailing? No. One mailing = one audience = one (or two) message(s). For different segments, create different mailings. An alternative within one mailing is Uniquify with AI with N variants of the same meaning.
