The Mailings section is the bulk mailing module in Chatterfy. The team uses it to send one message to many leads at once: new offers, reminders, warm-up messages for “dormant” leads, and change notifications. It supports all Telegram formats (text / media / document / voice / video message), delayed start, and AI text uniqueization.
The main mechanism for bringing leads back into the funnel. If a lead has gone cold, an automated Push Message won’t bring them back. A mailing with the right offer can revive them. And vice versa: for a hot audience (new subscribers), this is where you send a welcome flow or an invitation to a channel.
What tasks it solves
Notify your audience about a new product / offer / promotion. Warm up holds 7–14 days after the first touch. Send a segmented mailing only to VIP leads with a deposit > $100. A/B test different wording using Uniquify with AI. Bring back “dormant” leads who have not replied for a long time. Send a technical update notification to all active leads. Run a promo campaign for a specific holiday or event.

Mailing lifecycle

A mailing goes through several phases — understanding this helps you avoid panicking when you see the Pending status and avoid recalling a mailing too early:
—Creation: How to create and set up a broadcast— selecting the audience, writing the message, setting the delay, and optionally enabling AI uniqueization.
—Pending: the mailing is waiting for its start time (if Schedule is configured) or for confirmation. You can cancel it without consequences.
—Sending: the system sends messages in batches with a delay between them. You can click Pause — the remaining messages will not be sent, while already sent messages will remain.
—Completed: all messages have been sent. Statistics are available: sent / delivered / read / errors.
—Archived: the mailing is removed from the main list but saved with all statistics and content — you can return to it via Duplicate if the offer works again.

Use cases by segment

—Traffic arbitrage: a media buyer launched a campaign and after 3 days wants to reactivate users who registered but did not make an FD. Filter: tag = Reg AND no FD AND created > 3 days → Mailings with a deposit reminder and a bonus.
—Sales: launching a new product. A segmented mailing only to those who previously bought in the same category. Filter: tag = past_buyer AND product_category = X.
—E-commerce: weekend sale. A mailing to the entire active audience with a media message and an “Open catalog” button. Schedule for Friday 18:00.
—Info products: notifying course students about a new module. Filter: tag = course_2026. Text with measured AI uniqueization so it does not look like spam.
—SaaS Support: notification about a system update and scheduled maintenance. A mailing to the entire active audience, sent overnight so leads do not miss it.

Where to start

It depends on what stage you are at:
First time here and want to understand how it works — How Mass Broadcasts Work(with a section about Telegram limits).
Ready to launch a campaign — How to create and set up a broadcast(the complete step-by-step scenario).
Already have active ones and need to monitor them — Managing Broadcasts.
Need a segment before a mailing — Users→ User filtering — 11 parameters→ Creating a mailing from Users — Create Mailing.
Worried about PEER_FLOOD — set a delay via Delay Between Messages of at least 30-60 seconds before launch (see Error 400 — Telegram).

Mailings work on top of “Users” Users— The audience is built using a filter in Users → Create Mailing. The difference from Push Messages — Re-engaging Silent Users— Push Messages are automatic “follow-up for silent users” inside an active dialog. Mailings are a mass “one-time” outbound send. Telegram limits apply in both cases, but Mailings are at higher risk of PEER_FLOOD because of volume. Sending and delivery analytics are inside the mailing card in Managing Broadcasts.

Frequently asked questions

The main risk is PEER_FLOOD (anti-spam). It is triggered by mass sending too quickly. The protective measure is Delay Between Messages of at least 30-60 seconds. Also: text — max 4,096 characters; media captions — 1,024; in Chatterfy, there is an additional limit of 3,000 per message. Details — How Mass Broadcasts Work and Error 400 — Telegram.

No. Telegram does not allow you to “recall” messages after delivery (you can only delete them in your own chat). If a mailing went to the wrong audience — Pause will stop further sending, but messages already sent will remain with the leads.

Push Messages ( Push Messages — Re-engaging Silent Users) are a reactive mechanism: the bot sends a follow-up when a lead stays silent after a specific flow step. Mailings are proactive: the operator decides, “I’ll send all active VIPs a message about the new offer now.” Push is automatic and individual; Mailings are manual and mass.

All operators with access to the bot can see the list of mailings and their statistics. Launching is role-restricted — Operator and above can usually launch them. Owner / Admin can manage others’ mailings (Pause / Archive). Details about roles — Managing users and roles within a Space.

Create a test Tag (for example, mailings_test), mark 5–10 of your own/test accounts with it. Filter: Tag has “mailings_test” → Create Mailing → Start. If everything is OK, repeat for the full audience via Duplicate.

Currently, Mailings does not have a “native” A/B split. Workaround: split the audience in half with tags via Bulk actions — Edit Chats for a group of leads (for example, test_a and test_b), create two mailings with different text, then compare Stats. Alternatively, use Uniquify with AI within a single mailing: AI varies the wording between leads, and then you can compare which pattern generated a higher CTR.

Several common reasons. The lead blocked the bot — Telegram returns an error, and the mailing skips them. The lead has been inactive for a long time — Telegram may temporarily not deliver messages (especially if the user never started the bot at all). The lead’s account was deleted. PEER_FLOOD was triggered — the mailing stopped. In Managing Broadcasts → Stats, you can see how many were sent, delivered, not delivered, and the reasons.
