Bot Settings and Flow Settings — what is the difference?
Section | What it controls |
Bot Settings | General bot settings: AI models, timezone, delays, custom fields, sale statuses, tags, notifications, and webhooks |
Flow Settings | Conversation scenario: messages, steps, transition logic, AI personality, restrictions, and response style |
Examples:
What you need to do | Where to configure it |
Select an AI model | Bot Settings → Automation & AI |
Add an AI Reply step | Flow Settings |
Create a custom field | Bot Settings → Custom Fields |
Use a custom field in a message or condition | Flow Settings |
Configure the bot personality | Flow Settings → AI Settings |
Do not confuse Automation & AI in
Bot Settings with AI Settings in Flow Settings. In Bot Settings, you choose models and general AI settings. In Flow Settings, you define the bot's behavior within a specific scenario. When to go to Bot Settings
Go to
Bot Settings when you need to configure the bot at the system-wide level. For example:

- you need to configure tags and filters for the team.

General
General is a section with basic bot settings. Here you configure: name, description, tags, status, timezone, and the current Space.
Delays
Delays is a section for configuring delays between a user's message and the bot's reply. Delays are used so the bot does not reply instantly, the conversation looks more natural, and the risk of Telegram errors is reduced when a funnel is active.Notifications
Notifications is a section for configuring team notifications. For example, you can send notifications to a Telegram group when a chat moves to Manual status.Webhooks & API
Webhooks & API is used to receive data from external systems. For example: an affiliate program sends a registration or deposit; an external CRM updates user data; an external service moves the chat to the required step; the system writes data to custom fields.Custom Fields
Custom Fields are custom fields for storing user data. For example: trader_id, country, language, clickid, deposit_amount, manager_name. You can use these fields in messages, conditions, AI Reply, and integrations.Sale Status
Sale Status defines the stages of the sales funnel. For example: Registration, FD, RD, Withdraw. A user can have one current sale status, which changes as they move through the funnel.Automation & AI
Automation & AI is a section for general automation and AI settings. It may include the AI Models, AI Recognition, and Bot Variables subsections.

If you need to distribute chats among operators
Go to
CRM defaults → Assign Manager. There you can configure which chats an operator sees:- only their own
- their own and unassigned

If AI responds poorly
Check two places:
Where to check | What to check |
Bot Settings → Automation & AI → AI Models | The selected model |
Flow Settings → AI Settings | Personality, restrictions, response style, and prompts |
What you should end up with
After configuring
Bot Settings, you should have a bot that has:What is configured | What it is for |
Clear name | Find the bot quickly |
Description | The team understands the bot's purpose |
Correct Space | The bot is in the right project |
Status | The bot is active, stopped, or archived |
Timezone | The time matches the audience |
Delays | The conversation feels natural |
Custom Fields | User data is saved correctly |
Tags and Sale Status | The team can segment leads |
AI and integrations | The bot is ready for automation |
After that, you can move on to configuring Flow and AI.
If something doesn't work
The bot does not respond to users
Check:
- status = Active
- the connection is working
- Flow is configured correctly
- Flow steps are connected
- delays are not too long
- the company balance is positive.
The bot responds at the wrong time
Check the Timezone. Most likely, the timezone is set for the team or another region, not for the audience.
The team does not see the bot
Check:
- which Space the bot is in
- whether employees have access to this Space
- whether the bot has been archived
- whether user roles are restricted.
Notifications are not arriving
Check:
- whether the
Notificationssection is configured
- whether the bot or account has been added to the
Telegramgroup
- whether the correct group is selected
- whether the chat matches the notification filter conditions.
AI is not responding as expected
Check:
- the model in Automation & AI
- the
AI Settingssettings inFlow Settings
- prompts
- restrictions
- the Flow context.
