The bot in the channel suddenly stopped accepting join requests for the channel, even though the settings were not changed. The reason is almost always the same: leads are coming through links that are not tied to a campaign in Tracker — Chatterfy treats them as organic traffic, and the Invite bot in the channel approves such requests only if the corresponding option is enabled.
Why this happens
The Invite bot (Types of Bots in Chatterfy) accepts join requests for the channel using two methods: only through campaign links (by default) or including organic traffic. If only the first method is configured, all leads who entered the channel not through a Tracker link remain in the request queue and gradually drop off due to the Telegram timeout.
The most common situation is that someone shared a “direct” link to the channel in a chat, in a blogger’s post, or in a private message. The lead taps “Request to Join” — they get into the general list, but not into the campaign.
How to fix it
Check whether requests are coming from the campaign
Open Campaigns — рекламные кампании, find your campaign, and check today’s Subscribe counter. If it is increasing, the campaign is working and the bot is accepting requests. This means the problem is only with the “unattributed” part of the traffic.Find out where people are getting the “direct” link
If users enter the channel through a link without clickid, that link has been published somewhere outside Tracker. Replace it with a link created inside the campaign. Any link from Sources — Traffic Sources automatically contains tracking and is accepted by the bot.If you want to accept everyone, enable organic traffic
In the campaign settings, you can allow requests without clickid (section General — user journey). After that, the Invite bot will start letting everyone through, but these leads will be counted as organic and will not be tied to a buyer/link/postbacks.
To prevent this from happening again
Make it a rule: only links from Tracker should lead to the channel. If someone on the team shares a direct link, create a separate campaign for it or add a new Source to the existing one. Then even “partner” traffic through private chats will be tied to the buyer and analytics.
