General — general company settings
When to open this section
Change the company name after a rebrand or project change.
Provide the Company ID to support when an operator asks for the company identifier.
Check that you are in the right company if there are multiple organizations in one account.

How it works
One user in Chatterfy can have multiple companies — for example, an agency manages CRM for several clients, with each client in its own company. You switch between them in the top menu of the account. The General section applies only to the company that is currently selected.
The company name is displayed in the interface for identification. Company ID is an internal identifier: it does not change and, by default, is not shown to “random” users.
Owner and Admin can change the name. Company ID cannot be changed — only copied.
Parameters
Field | What it defines | Who can change it |
Company name | The company name in the interface. Visible wherever the company is identified: top menu, email headers, reports | Owner and Admin |
Company ID | The unique company identifier. It does not change. | No one; copy only |
Use cases
Support request
When contacting support, include the Company ID — the operator will find the company faster.
Rebranding — change the name
Owner or Admin changes Company name and saves. The new name is immediately visible to all company users in the interface.
What to keep in mind
Company ID is a public technical identifier, not a secret key. You can share it when setting up integrations. There is no need to publish it unnecessarily. Access is protected through roles, not by hiding the ID.
