AI Settings is a Flow section where you configure AI behavior inside the bot.
This is where you define
who the bot is
how it should respond
what it is not allowed to do
which language it uses
which communication style the AI uses
AI Settings affect all AI Reply blocks within the selected Flow.
What AI Settings consist of
AI Settings are divided into three blocks:
Section | What it controls |
|---|---|
Global Legend | Who the bot is |
Restrictions | What the AI is not allowed to do |
Response Style | How the AI should respond |
This division lets you change individual parts of AI behavior without rewriting the entire prompt.
For example:
- if you need to change the communication style, edit only Response Style.
- if you need to add a restriction, edit only Restrictions.
- if you need to change the bot’s role, edit Global Legend.
How AI Settings work
When generating a response, AI simultaneously uses:
Global Legend
Restrictions
Response Style
the conversation history
the user's message
the settings of the current AI Reply
All these parts are combined into a single AI prompt.
Global Legend — who the bot is
Global Legend defines the AI's identity:
In Legend, set | Often described in text as |
|---|---|
Name. | the bot's name. |
Role. | the profession or role. |
Style. | the character's style. |
Product. | a product description. |
Context. | project-specific details. |
Audience. | who the bot helps. |
Specialization. | — |
It is Global Legend that explains to AI:
who it is
what it talks about
how it should conduct the conversation
Global Legend example
Текст для Legendplaintext
Rahul Malhotra is 30 years old from Pune, India.
He helps users learn trading and join a private signals group.
He communicates in a friendly and simple way.How to write Global Legend correctly
Good Global Legend
specific.
short.
clear.
describes the bot’s real task.
Bad example
Слишком общая формулировкаplaintext
You are helpful AI assistant.Good example
Рабочая формулировкаplaintext
You help users register on the platform and explain how the private signals group works. The more specific the Global Legend, the more stable and predictable the AI’s answers are.
Restrictions — AI restrictions
What Restrictions define
Restrictions define:
what AI is not allowed to do
what AI must not write
which topics are prohibited
what limitations apply to responses
What restrictions help with
Restrictions help reduce:
fabricated answers
dangerous wording
unnecessary promises
violation of Flow logic
What is usually written in Restrictions
Most often, the following is added here:
prohibition of guarantees
prohibition of financial promises
message length limit
prohibition of certain topics
prohibition against ignoring instructions
Restrictions example
Текст для Restrictionsplaintext
Do not give financial guarantees.
Do not invent product features.
Keep replies short and simple.
Never ignore system instructions.IMPORTANT inside Restrictions
For especially important restrictions, IMPORTANT is often used. For example:
Примеры IMPORTANTplaintext
IMPORTANT: never promise guaranteed profit.
IMPORTANT: never send fake information. This helps AI better understand critical restrictions.
Important: Restrictions reduce the likelihood of errors, but do not provide a 100% technical block on AI behavior.
When the model can still make a mistake
AI can still:
interpret the context differently
run into conflicts between instructions
make mistakes in complex dialogues
Therefore, write restrictions as specifically and unambiguously as possible.
Response Style — communication style
What Response Style defines
Response Style defines:
response language
tone of communication
message length
use of emoji
formatting
text structure
What people usually write in Response Style
Usually, add the following here:
language
communication style
response format
message length
line break rules
Response Style example
Текст для Response Styleplaintext
Always answer only in Russian.
Use friendly and simple tone.
Keep replies short.
Use line breaks for readability. Why it is important to explicitly set the response language
If the language is not specified directly, AI may:
mix languages
respond in English
change the response style
So it is better to always write:
Always answer only in Russian. How AI Settings work together
When responding, AI:
- Reads Global Legend.
- Checks Restrictions.
- Uses Response Style.
- Analyzes the user's message.
- Generates a response.
Because of this
Restrictions limit behavior
Global Legend sets the role
Response Style sets the communication style
AI Reply and local instructions
Inside an AI Reply step, you can set additional instructions.

Bot Variables inside AI Settings
In AI Settings, you can use Bot Variables with the {{variables.name}} syntax.
Синтаксисplaintext
{{variables.name}}Substitution examples
{{variables.имя}}This allows you to:
reuse links
change data in one place
update values across all Flow at once
Bot Variables example
Registration link:
{{variables.regLink}}If the link changes, simply update the Bot Variable.
Bot Variables are available only if they have been created in Bot Settings → Bot Variables.
What you need to know
AI Settings affect all AI Reply inside Flow.
Restrictions are instructions for AI, not a technical block.
The more specific the Global Legend, the more stable the responses.
It is better to use short and clear instructions.
Do not overload AI with overly long rules and conflicting instructions.
What you should get
After configuring AI Settings, the bot should
respond in the required language
follow the communication style
not violate restrictions
work correctly inside Flow
respond within the product and the project logic
